Sierra and Thomas’ Winter Wedding at The Edgewater Hotel in Madison, WI on NYE!

Sierra and Thomas welcomed 2024 with a magical wedding at the lovely Edgewater in Madison on New Year’s Eve!

The event was attended by family friends from all over the state and from the country. The Austin, TX crew (where the couple live) came out in full force and brought some Texas dances to the reception.

Sierra’s Irish roots came out in the Irish dancing performed during the reception and there was a polka in honor of Thomas’ Polish ancestry.

Despite the chilly temperatures Thomas and Sierra ventured out for some post ceremony portraits on the grounds of the Edgewater — all decked out for the holiday season and including their famous ice skating rink. The view of the Wisconsin state capitol is the best in town from the top of Wisconsin Place and we did our best version of replicating Abbey Road if it were in Madison, and snowing and dark.

The speeches were so touching — first by both Dads and then Matthew, the Best Man, and Amelia, Sierra’s Maid of Honor.

Dancing went from dinner through the stroke of midnight with rarely a lull as the DJ — Kyrie from Celebrations — kept things rolling.

A wonderful way to start 2024 and it was a pleasure and honor for me and Wendy to photograph. Here are my favorites from the day! ENJOY!
